Development within the West Basin will be pursued in accordance with the terms and restrictions of a conservation easement. The conditions of the easement will ensure that more than 95 percent of the West Basin is permanently protected as open space and wildlife habitat.

Each parcel offers a choice of two home sites. Homestead property buyers may build a single family home, guest house, and barn within their home site of choice. In addition, a number of homestead stewardship criteria have been established to advance the water conservation and energy efficiency goals of this unique conservation development.
