Home Sites Overview
The West Basin at the Galisteo Basin Preserve includes five equestrian homesteads. Each parcel has been carefully configured to ensure that the extraordinary scenic, wildlife habitat, cultural, and recreational resources of the region are preserved. In addition, the homesteads offer a high degree of privacy and seclusion for residents and their guests. Each home site can accommodate a main home, a guesthouse, and a barn—all within a "building envelope" of 3.5-4.5 acres. The land area beyond a parcel's designated home site is privately held by the owner but managed in accordance with the conservation values of the 944-acre West Basin and the larger Galisteo Basin Preserve of which it is part. Private trails within the West Basin connect to 4,300 acres of adjoining county, state, and federal public open space. |
